These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "User", or "You") and GraphicWind ("we", "us", or "our") regarding your access to, download, installation, and use of the ScreenLite desktop application and related software services (collectively, the "Software").

By downloading, installing, activating, or using ScreenLite, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not install, activate, or use the Software.

1. Software & Service Description

ScreenLite is a specialized, lightweight desktop utility for Microsoft Windows (Windows 10, Windows 11, and supported x64 architectures) designed for screen recording, screen capture, live annotation, color inspection, and local media export.

ScreenLite operates as an installed client-side Windows application. The core capturing, drawing, rendering, encoding, and screenshot generation capabilities run entirely on your local machine hardware.

2. 7-Day Free Trial & Evaluation

We believe in transparent software purchasing. ScreenLite offers a 7-Day Free Trial to all new users starting immediately upon first launch.

Full Pro Functionality During Evaluation

During the 7-day trial period, you have unrestricted access to all ScreenLite Pro features—including watermark-free high-DPI exports, full-resolution screen recording, magnifier tools, and annotation toolbars. This enables you to evaluate the software thoroughly on your specific Windows hardware configuration before making any purchase decision.

No payment information or credit card is required to begin the 7-day trial. Upon expiration of the 7-day trial period, Pro features will lock until an authentic ScreenLite Pro license key is entered and activated.

3. ScreenLite Pro One-Time Purchase

ScreenLite Pro is sold as a one-time purchase of ₹299 (INR) (inclusive of applicable regional taxes calculated at checkout).

  • No Monthly or Recurring Subscriptions: ScreenLite Pro is not a recurring monthly subscription service. You pay once for the perpetual use of the licensed version according to the ScreenLite License Agreement (EULA).
  • License Validity: Your one-time purchase grants you a perpetual license for the major release purchased, including all compatible minor updates and bug fixes for that release.
  • Transparent Pricing: There are no hidden monthly fees, surprise renewals, or mandatory ongoing maintenance fees.

4. Payment Processing (Paddle)

Our digital order processing, billing, tax calculation, and payment fulfillment are conducted by our trusted merchant of record and payment partner, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited / Paddle Payments).

  • Paddle handles all secure credit card, debit card, UPI, PayPal, and regional payment gateway transactions.
  • GraphicWind does not process, transmit, or store your credit card, debit card, or sensitive financial banking details on our servers.
  • Invoices, receipts, and order confirmation emails are generated and issued through Paddle.

5. License Key & Activation

Upon successful completion of your one-time purchase:

  1. A unique ScreenLite Pro License Key is automatically generated and sent to the email address provided during checkout.
  2. You can activate ScreenLite Pro directly inside the application by entering your license key into the activation modal.
  3. Pro activation is verified and registered by the ScreenLite licensing system over a secure, encrypted HTTPS connection.
  4. Each license key is authorized for fair-use device activations as outlined in our License Agreement. You are responsible for safeguarding your license key from unauthorized public distribution or sharing.

6. Local Storage Architecture

100% Local Device Storage Guarantee

Screen recordings, captured screenshots, clipboard annotations, and exported media files generated using ScreenLite are stored strictly on your local computer's hard drive or designated export folder. ScreenLite does not upload, sync, or transmit your screen recordings or screenshots to GraphicWind servers unless a future feature explicitly and transparently provides opt-in cloud storage.

7. Customer Responsibilities

As a user of ScreenLite, you agree and acknowledge that:

  • System Compatibility: You are responsible for ensuring that your Windows PC meets the minimum software and hardware requirements (e.g., supported version of Windows 10/11, compatible display drivers, and sufficient local disk storage).
  • Key Security: You must maintain the confidentiality of your license key. You may not post your license key publicly on internet forums, repository platforms, or file-sharing networks.
  • Content Authorization: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right, authorization, or consent to record, capture, or photograph any third-party screen content, video streams, or copyrighted material.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use ScreenLite, or cause or permit the Software to be used, to:

  • Violate any local, national, or international law, statute, regulation, or privacy right.
  • Capture, record, or distribute unauthorized confidential material, protected personal data, or private surveillance without consent.
  • Circumvent, disable, or tamper with the Software's licensing verification mechanism, DRM, or security features.
  • Decompile, disassemble, decrypt, or reverse-engineer the ScreenLite application binaries except to the extent specifically permitted by non-waivable statutory law.
  • Distribute, bundle, sell, lease, or repackage modified versions or "cracked" distributions of ScreenLite.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

GraphicWind Ownership: All rights, title, copyright, source code, visual design, user interfaces, branding, icons, documentation, and intellectual property in ScreenLite remain the exclusive property of GraphicWind.

User Content Ownership: You retain complete, 100% ownership and copyright over all original screen recordings, screenshots, images, and creative media files you capture or produce using ScreenLite. GraphicWind claims zero ownership, license, or rights to your created content.

10. Software Updates & Maintenance

GraphicWind may from time to time release updates, patches, bug fixes, or performance improvements for ScreenLite.

  • Minor updates and maintenance patches within the same major version series are provided at no additional charge to licensed users.
  • Updates may be delivered via official installers, MSIX updates, or direct downloads on the GraphicWind website.

11. Third-Party Services

ScreenLite interacts with selected third-party services exclusively to facilitate essential customer operations:

  • Paddle: Handles order checkout, fraud prevention, invoicing, and tax collection. Use of Paddle's checkout is subject to Paddle's buyer terms and privacy policy.
  • ScreenLite Licensing Server: Handles automated license key activation and cryptographic verification over HTTPS.

12. Service & Licensing Availability

While the ScreenLite desktop application executes locally on your device without requiring continuous internet connectivity for standard recording, internet access is required during initial license activation and periodic license validation. We strive to maintain high availability of our licensing infrastructure but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service resulting from ISP disruptions, network outages, or hosting downtime.

13. Suspension & Termination

GraphicWind reserves the right to suspend or permanently revoke a ScreenLite license key without refund if:

  • The license key was obtained via payment fraud, unauthorized chargebacks, or illicit means.
  • The license key is discovered to be published publicly, shared excessively, or redistributed in violation of our License Agreement.
  • You materially breach these Terms of Service.

14. Warranty Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScreenLite is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

Limitation of Liability: In no event shall GraphicWind, its developers, affiliates, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of business profits, computer failure, or work stoppage. GraphicWind's total cumulative aggregate liability arising out of or related to your use of ScreenLite shall not exceed the actual amount paid by you for the ScreenLite software license (₹299 INR).

15. Changes to the Terms

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time to reflect software improvements, regulatory changes, or operational updates. When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of ScreenLite after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
